Settings
What every page presents by default. These are view settings: they choose
which stored numbers a page reads, never what the model fitted. A link that names a value
(?smoothed=false) still wins over the setting, so a shared URL always shows the
same view.
What each setting does
- Model walk
- The walk the ratings, team and season pages read, and whose priced re-prediction the game card and the calibration page read. Automatic takes the newest cutoff in the store, whichever walk wrote it. A pinned walk that never covered a season shows that season as not walked, rather than falling back to another walk.
- Ratings series
- The smoothed series is the rating the model of record prices from; the raw fit is the model's own number at each cutoff. Sigma is the raw fit's either way.
- Preferred book
- The odds source a game card lists first and marks. Every book is still shown.
- Season chart teams
- How many teams a season page traces and ranks, 1 to 100.
